Name:judy_roberson_steele
Birthdate:Jan 23
Location:Texas, United States
I have many many interests: science fiction/fantasy fandom; conventions; costuming; filking; reading (anything, really); writing (mostly fiction w/a sf or fantasy bent); drawing; all needle crafts (particularly: crochet, embroidery, beading, sewing (hand & machine) and am relearning some fiber arts. I play the flute & piccolo (not nearly as well as I once did--am about to do something about that, time & funding permitting). I collect books (have thousands of them), dvds (love movies & old TV shows), music of all sorts (can't do rap or hip-hop, but love everything else), dollhouse furniture & miniature stuff, notebooks & journals, dragon & mythical creatures sculpture & pictures and odd buttons (the stranger the better). I have a fairly large collection of sf/f artwork & prints--now if I only had enough wall space to hang them on ;)

I am a 46 year old mother of 2. I've been married for almost seventeen years to the same goofy computer guru. I am a pro-active advocate for special needs children. Both my kiddos have a mild form of autism called Asperger's Syndrome, so that's how I got involved. I have had many many "odd jobs", but currently am a stay-at-home mom where I can better manage the needs of my teenagers.

I have been a member of the SCA, several science fiction/fantasy clubs & organizations, the L-5 Society, currently a member of the Lunar City Society.

I am an avid roleplaying gamer & game master. I love computer games, but can't play mmorgs because they make me, literally, ill (vertigo from screen movement). I am currently obsessed with the tiles game on the Hoyle's Puzzle & Boardgame game and am playing around with the new Sims3 game.

I try to do a little fiction writing every week. This is for my own peace of mind and continued good health. I try to read something everyday (this is probably the easiest thing I do everyday ;)
